BIOGRAPHY

Amy Price, MA, LCPC, Board-Approved Supervisor, is the Clinical Director at Terra Counseling & Consulting. As a therapist, she works with individuals, couples, and families evaluating the underlying issues to symptomatic depression, anxiety, trauma, and health concerns. Amy has been in the counseling field for more than 15 years and in private practice for more than 10 years working with a spectrum of emotional concerns, including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, bereavement, childhood disorders, trauma, parenting problems, adoptive and foster care support, attachment issues, and an array of relationship topics. She serves on the Board of Directors at Baltimore-based human trafficking abolitionist non-profit, Araminta Freedom Initiative, Inc,  bringing her clinical experience where she has worked with a range of trauma-based populations providing life-altering interventions.

Amy received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Eastern University and a master’s degree in Counseling from Biblical Theological Seminary. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland.

Amy’s philosophy on counseling is that it is within the context of a safe and secure relationship that evaluating one’s thoughts, feelings and actions, using essential skills, can bring about impactful change and healing. Her role is to develop a game plan that addresses both the core issues and the symptoms to help her clients understand who they really are and experience clarity, healing, and resolution.

Amy is empathic and nurturing, while also recognizing the need, at times, to provoke thoughts and feelings in order to encourage that process of change. Amy is passionate about the counseling process and the opportunity to imbue others with a sense of hope, in the midst of difficult life circumstances.

With a greater ability to engage in self-reflection, and with the necessary tools to equip her clients for change, Amy believes that her clients will be better able to live authentically, engaged in the world and in healthy relationships with others.
